Rodney Sharp was born on May 14, 1953 in Fort Campbell, KY and passed away on October 29, 2020 and is under the care of Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on November 6, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX. Funeral Service will be held on November 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX. Committal Service will be held on November 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX.

Rodney Sharp was born on May 14, 1953 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to the late Summie and Eddie Mae Sharp Sr.

He graduated from Mart High School and got his Associates degree in Recreation at Texas State Technical College in Waco, TX. Rodney was also a Sargent in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father Summie Sharp Sr., Mother Eddie Mae Sharp, Sister Emma Lousie Sharp, Brother Summie H. Sharp Jr. , and Brother Donald R. Sharp.

He leave to cherish his memories his estranged wife Florrie J. Sharp, Daughters Ursula Davis of Waco, TX and Tabatha Riley of Moody, TX, and Son Tarance Sharp of Cedar Hill, TX. Grandkids Trevor Riley, Jaden Riley, Chase Sharp, and Malaysia Sharp. One Great Grandchild Sophia Riley and a special Cousin/Sister, Cora Dunbar.
